We all know that Cubs love the outdoors, and one thing they really love about the outdoors is trees. This year, we're encouraging all our supporters to recycle their Christmas cards and help us support the Woodland Trust.
OK, so it's still only November but why not start some Christmas planning? We all hope to receive plenty of Christmas Cards (delivered by Scout Post, of course), but what do you do with them in the New Year?
The Woodland Trust have teamed up with Marks and Spencer to help look after and maintain Britain's woodlands and Cowbridge Cubs need your Christmas cards to help.
For every thousand Christmas Cards recycled through the scheme, M&S will fund the Trust to plant a tree. This year's target is 6 million cards - that's 6000 new trees.
All we're asking our supporters to do is, instead of throwing out their Christmas cards in January, bag them up and bring them to us. The Cubs will see that they make their way to the nearest M&S Recycling point.
The great thing about this scheme is that it's Nation wide - If you're reading this from anywhere in the UK, you can still join in. Simply take your cards along to your nearest M&S and pop them in the bins provided.
